Donations To Non-Profit Organizations
Occasionally the Bargain Barn may be unable to sell an item. Because the Bargain Barn is committed to
sustainability and the university's public service mission, we will donate these surplus items on a first come, first served basis after items are cleared for donation to approved non-profit 501(3b) organizations, including:
- accredited schools
- other universities
- social service agencies
Getting on the Donation List
In order to be added to the approved list for equipment donations, the agency must complete the
Application form. This form must be on file before any items can be donated from the Bargain Barn. All fields on the form should be completed, including a contact e-mail address. The Bargain Barn does most communication through e-mail.
Fax, mail, or e-mail the completed form to the Bargain Barn.

Donation. These items are available on a first come first serve basis. If you are interested, please
e-mail, call or
visit the Bargain Barn to make the necessary arrangements.
The donated items should be removed as soon as possible. To satisfy tax reporting requirements, a donation receipt/acknowledgement on the organization's letter head with the tax ID number should be sent to the Bargain Barn at the time of donation.
