Sales To Employees

University employees may purchase items from the Bargain Barn for their own personal use; however, university policy prohibits university property from being purchased by, or gifted to, any of the following:

An employee of the department releasing the property
An employee of Materiel Management, R-4 Recycling, or UCDHS Plant Operations & Maintenance (PO&M) departments
A near relative* of an employee listed in either situation above

In addition, no one restricted from purchasing items may have others make purchases from the Bargain Barn on their behalf.

*A near relative is a spouse, domestic partner, parent, child, or sibling, step-relatives, in-laws, a relative of a domestic partner, or a person residing in the same household as the employee.
