| Q. | Why are the microscopes on sale at Bargain Barn not available for departmental purchase? | |
| A. | The microscopes we sell are mainly from Microscope Services, and most have been rented for a very long time. They are often being sold because replacement parts are hard to come by, or they are no longer economical to keep operating at the capacity necessary for our laboratories and classrooms. We don't feel that it is appropriate to sell these microscopes to campus departments, once we have determined that they are too dated to rent out. | |
